This dog lead extension is designed for use with our Leia double leashes and Rex multi-double leashes in leather.

Perfect if you want to walk more than two dogs or if you want to complement your existing leash with an extra extension.

Please note that this is only the dog lead extension– the part from the Twistlock hook to the dog. Handles are not included.

Premium leather from Tärnsjö Garveri

The leash is made from dark brown leather from Tärnsjö Garveri – a Swedish tannery with a long tradition of producing high-quality leather.

The leather has a semi-aniline dyed surface with a slightly oiled feel that allows the material's natural structure to show through. Before the leash is sent to you, we treat it to provide good basic protection and a fine finish.

We have chosen a slightly thinner leather, approximately 2–2.5 mm thick and 16 mm wide. The result is a light, supple, and flexible leash that lies comfortably in the hand and ages with a beautiful patina.

Leather is a living natural material and each leash has its own expression. Therefore, natural marks, small variations in structure, and shifts in color may occur. These are not defects, but part of the leather's character and a sign that the material comes from nature.

For us, it's part of the charm. Each leash carries its own story and also develops a unique patina the more it is used.

Good to know

Leather is a living natural material and differs from synthetic materials like Hexa.

When new, the leash will feel relatively stiff. With use, it will gradually soften and mold itself to how you use it.

Since we have chosen a thinner leather, the leash may also stretch slightly over time, especially if used with dogs that pull a lot and for longer periods. This is a natural property of leather and one of the reasons why we recommend the product to those who are looking for a premium leash with a focus on feel, aesthetics, and everyday use rather than maximum tensile strength.

Hooks and craftsmanship

The leash comes with BGB hooks from Orsa. Unlike our Hexa leashes, the leather leashes are handmade in a single studio in Stockholm. We receive them finished and therefore the hooks cannot be changed afterwards. Contact us at info@tassmark.se to pre-order with one of our other hooks.

Care instructions

• Wipe with a slightly damp cloth if needed.
• Let the leash dry at room temperature if it gets wet.
• Condition the leather with leather balm as needed to maintain suppleness and protection.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and store the leash dry when not in use.
• The leash has a slightly stiffer feel when new and will soften with use.
• Over time, the leather develops a beautiful and personal patina.
• Since the leather is relatively thin, it may stretch slightly if used for a long time by dogs that pull a lot.
