Leather | Leia double leash

The Leia leather double leash was developed together with Malin from @hoglandshunden based on a simple idea – two dogs, one handle, and a calmer walk.

The separate dog links move independently of each other, reducing the risk of the leashes getting tangled when dogs switch sides or move at different paces. The result is a double leash that feels smooth to use both in everyday life and during longer walks.

Smart function – less tangle

The handle part is 30cm long and equipped with a Twistlock hook with a built-in swivel. This allows the dog links to move freely and reduces the risk of the leashes getting tangled when dogs switch sides.

Choose link lengths between 1-1.5m, which gives a total length of 130-180cm

Premium leather from Tärnsjö Garveri

The leash is made from dark brown leather from Tärnsjö Garveri – a Swedish tannery with a long tradition of producing high-quality leather.

The leather has a semi-aniline dyed surface with a lightly greased feel that allows the material's natural structure to show through. Before the leash is sent to you, we treat it to provide good basic protection and a fine finish.

We have chosen a slightly thinner leather, approximately 2–2.5 mm thick and 16 mm wide. The result is a light, supple, and flexible leash that lies comfortably in the hand and ages with a beautiful patina.

Leather is a living natural material, and each leash has its own expression. Therefore, natural marks, small variations in structure, and shifts in color may occur. These are not defects but part of the leather's character and a sign that the material comes from nature.

For us, it's part of the charm. Each leash carries its own story and also develops a unique patina the more it is used.

Good to know

Leather is a living natural material and differs from synthetic materials like Hexa.

When new, the leash will feel relatively stiff. With use, it will gradually soften and mold to how you use it.

Since we have chosen a thinner leather, the leash may also stretch slightly over time, especially if used with dogs that pull a lot and for longer periods. This is a natural characteristic of leather and one of the reasons why we recommend the product to those looking for a premium leash with a focus on feel, aesthetics, and everyday use rather than maximum tensile strength.

Hooks and design

The leash comes with a twistlock in the handle, and the other hooks are BGB hooks from Orsa. Unlike our Hexa leashes, the leather leashes are handmade in a single studio in Stockholm. We receive them finished, and therefore the hooks cannot be replaced afterward. Contact us at info@tassmark.se to pre-order with one of our other hooks.

Care instructions

• Wipe with a lightly damp cloth if needed.
• If the leash gets wet, let it dry at room temperature.
• Apply leather balm to the leather as needed to maintain suppleness and protection.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and store the leash in a dry place when not in use.
• The leash has a slightly stiffer feel when new and will soften with use.
• Over time, the leather will develop a beautiful and personal patina.
• Since the leather is relatively thin, it may stretch slightly if used for a long time by dogs that pull a lot.
